WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >
October 18, 2019
Last weekend, I photographed Chelsea and Scott’s Fall wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, NJ. These two had a romantic and elegant wedding with a burgundy and navy color scheme for their Scotland Run wedding.
Chelsea and Scott met in a mutual friends dorm room one evening as they were heading to a college party their freshman year. As soon as Chelsea walked in the room, she thought Scott was so handsome and just knew there was something special about him. It wouldn’t be until 6 years later that they finally reconnected via social media. For their first date, they met up in New York City for the weekend. Scott took her to his favorite Mexican restaurant, where they sat and talked for hours about everything. The date went on for what felt like minutes, however it was a night that Chelsea will never forget.
Engaged on 12/02/2017, the proposal from Chelsea: “Scott and I went into the city to see the tree for the holidays and to have dinner at our favorite restaurant. Before going to dinner, Scott had planned that we would go for a walk in Central Park. As we were walking, Scott got down on one knee and proposed to me in the park at sunset. We proceeded to call all of our family to share the wonderful news. We then continued to dinner and enjoyed a romantic evening together.” Last September, I was lucky enough to capture their engagement session at Sayen Gardens!
The day started at a nearby hotel for both my excited bride and groom. Chelsea had a beautiful Casablanca dress that had a dramatic off the shoulder neckline draped with rhinestones, pearls, sequins, and Swarovski Crystal beading. The full A-line skirt featured pockets (my favorite!) and was the perfect dress for my bride! I absolutely loved photographing her pretty details and my blue ring box matched their invitation suite perfectly. I enjoyed capturing the joy between Chelsea and her family and bridesmaids while she dressed and the photos are a perfect example of their love for one another!
Before my bride and groom had their emotional first look, Chelsea had the sweetest first look with her father, with her mother and sister looking on, there was not a dry eye at Scotland Run! When I set Scott up for their first look, he was so excited and on the verge of tears and once he saw Chelsea, he couldn’t contain his excitement and I loved capturing his reaction! Scott truly proved why I love it when my couples do first looks!
Their Scotland Run ceremony was short and sweet and both my emotional bride and groom cried as my bride made her way down the aisle, and ended with the stepping of the glass, which was the best way to start the party for the evening!
Their fun Scotland Run reception featured a sweet first dance with lots of twirling, a hora, emotional speeches and finally a lively dance floor thanks to Center Stage Entertainment!
Now that these two have finished panning their Fall wedding at Scotland Run, they are looking forward to a lifetime of happiness together as they travel to new places, start a family, and grow old together doing the things they love to do each and every day.
Thank you to Chelsea and Scott for allowing me to photograph your Scotland Run wedding!
