Scotland Run Golf Club Wedding | Williamstown, NJ | Nicole & Dylan
On Friday, I photographed Nicole and Dylan’s beautiful wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, New Jersey. Their day fell on Star Wars Day and we had the most perfect Summer-like day for their celebration. Their day was a mix of styles and their colors, taupe and blush pink were a perfect fit for Scotland Run. Nicole’s bouquet was filled with light pink roses and their lantern centerpieces were surrounded by baby’s breath. They had modern rose gold accents and her Stella York wedding gown was such a gorgeous dress for their day! I am very excited to share this wedding that took place on May the Fourth Be With You at Scotland Run Golf Club!
Nicole and Dylan first met through Dylan’s brother, but they ended up working together at Carrabba’s Italian Grill. At first they were both extremely shy as they always had a crush on one another and never knew it. It took a whole year of working together for them to finally start talking! Knowing Dylan was shy, Nicole asked him out on their first date where they saw Avengers. These two were so shy with one another that they didn’t even hold hands during the movie, but Nicole claims she did get a kiss on the cheek at the end of the night!
Nicole and Dylan were engaged on 8/8/16, the proposal from Nicole: “In August of 2016, we went on a week long vacation to Excellence Riviera Cancun in Mexico. This is where Dylan asked me to marry him. He asked me in the sweetest way, too! He collected five shells from one of our favorite spots (the Longport Dog Beach in Summers Point, NJ), painted them my favorite color blue, and wrote, “Will you marry me?” on them. He booked a couple’s massage on the beach and after the massage, he led me to our own private cabana. The ocean front cabana had a bouquet of my favorite flowers (lilies and roses), two glasses of champagne, and the five, blue shells perfectly laid out in the sand. The proposal was so thoughtful and perfect, of course I said “yes!”.”
Their Scotland Run Golf Club wedding day began at a nearby hotel. I started the morning photographing all of Nicole’s beautiful and well thought out details while hair and makeup was finished. I absolutely loved Nicole’s wedding dress, cathedral veil and her Nina shoes! Once my beautiful bride was dressed and ready, we headed to Scotland Run for their first look. This moment was what my sweet couple most looked forward to on their day and it did not disappoint! Our emotional groom was so happy to see his glowing bride and wiped quite a few tears away! Shortly after the first look, their dachshund’s Molli and Willi joined us for some photos. These pups are so important to Nicole and Dylan that we made time to include them in their portraits. Their flower pup and ring bearer were also the highlight of the ceremony! Once their ceremony was complete and with personalized vows, I was able to grab these two for a few more sweet portraits during golden hour. I loved how excited and happy these two were! Their Scotland Run Golf Club reception was a ton of fun and one of the sweetest moments was when the surprise anniversary dance included her parents wedding song as the song everyone danced to, the winners were Nicole’s mom and dad!
Now that these two are happily married, I am sure they’ll adopt another dog or two! Since I met them at their engagement session last Fall, they have already grown by one! Next on their list is that they hope to buy a home together and adopt more puppies and a little further down the road, they would love to have kids, but not before traveling a bit more!
