On December 18th, I photographed my last wedding of 2021 – Laura and Kyle’s The Bellevue Hotel Wedding in Philadelphia, PA. Laura & Kyle had a romantic and classic wedding exactly one week before Christmas. Their day was filled with a winter color palette of dusty rose, burgundy and blush and the perfect amount of Christmas decor. They had a traditional church ceremony at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, classic wedding portraits at the Merchant Exchange Building, Elfreth’s Alley and in front of City Hall before their lively reception in The Rose Hall of the Bellevue Hotel.
Laura and Kyle had originally planned an April 2021 wedding, but due to the pandemic, they postponed their day to December 18, 2021. This postponement was actually a blessing as they were so excited to have their wedding so close to Christmas as it’s their favorite holiday. December is so special to them since they began dating in December, they were engaged in December and they even had a small wedding ceremony last year on December 20, 2020 with their immediate family!
Laura and Kyle met in downtown Charleston where they were both living at the time. Their first date was November 28, 2018 at an Irish Pub, Tommy Condon’s. Even though that first date was brief, they both had a great time and already scheduled a second date before the end of their first date! They were engaged on December 7, 2019 in Asheville, NC.
Laura and Kyle were most looking forward to seeing all of their family and friends and celebrating with them! Since they had to postpone their first wedding date due to COVID they were really looking forward to finally celebrating with everyone after two years of planning this day.
