On August 28th, I photographed Nicole and Christian’s Wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, NJ. They said “I do” at Saint Charles Borromeo RC Church in Sicklerville, NJ followed by their rustic and romantic wedding reception at one of my favorite South Jersey wedding venues, Scotland Run Golf Club!
Nicole and Christian first met the summer before their Sophomore year of college where they quickly became good friends. Christian came to visit Nicole and her friends at college a few times and this is when they began to hit it off. Christian asked Nicole to be his girlfriend on November 30th when picking up donuts after having dinner with his parents. Their first official date was on Nicole’s birthday, December 2nd. They had spent a lot of time together before this, but hadn’t gone on an official date prior. He picked her up at Stockton College and they went to dinner in Atlantic City. The food was delicious and they had a blast.
The proposal: Christian invited both immediate families to DiMateo Winery in Hammonton, NJ where they enjoyed a few glasses of wine together when Christian asked Nicole to go back to his house. Upon arriving at the house Christian had set up a large cut out of Cinderella’s Castle that he made himself. He was standing in front of it when she walked in. The castle had a cutout Mickey head in the middle and when Nicole removed it she saw the ring in a box, also built by Christian, and “Will You Marry Me?” written on the Mickey cutout. All of their family and friends were there to celebrate and share this special time with them. Last Summer, I was lucky enough to meet these two at Longwood Gardens for romantic Summer their engagement session.
Nicole and Christian’s wedding day was a gorgeous day filled with a lots of laughter! These two are one of my most joyful couples and it was an honor capturing their wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club! Their rustic and romantic wedding had a color palette of sage green, white, blush and gold and their florals were filled with lots of greenery and assorted white flowers. Their day began with rain, but by the time they exchanged their vows at their traditional church ceremony, the skies cleared up and we were able to capture all of their portraits outdoors! Nicole and Christian were most looking forward to celebrating with their family and friends and it was the perfect wedding.
Now married, they cannot wait to start a family, they always dream about their future family and all of the fun things that come with starting one. Their advice for couple’s currently planning is to take your time. They planned their wedding for a little over two years and this was perfect for them. They were able to enjoy all of the planning without the extra stress of getting things done quickly.
Thank you to Nicole and Christian for choosing me to photograph your wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club, I hope you are enjoying Hawaii!
These are all beautiful pictures, and I can’t wait to see all the others!!!
