WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NEWBORN SESSION >

Last weekend, I photographed Julia and Franklin’s classic wedding at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point, NJ. My couple had a gorgeous Spring day for their wedding day.
Franklin was a close friend of Julia’s older sister for many, many years. They had met a long time ago when she was still young and she had a huge crush on him! They reconnected when he moved down to Virginia Beach for work and she moved down for college. They became best friends almost instantly. Their first date was September 27th, 2014. Franklin took Julia to the oceanfront of Virginia Beach during a huge festival. They spent the night walking throughout the stalls and along the beach. The night ended with fireworks and that’s when they shared their first kiss. Julia knew very early on that Franklin was the one since they balance each other out perfectly. He keeps her grounded when she gets stressed out and is always extremely supportive.
Engaged on 10/26/2018, the proposal from Julia: “Franklin and I went away to Luray, Virginia for our three year anniversary. We ended up going horseback riding because it is one of my favorite past times. I kept thinking how lucky it was that we were the only two on the trail ride that day. Our guide told us that there was this amazing spot up ahead for pictures. When we got to the spot there was an adorable little table with roses, champagne, and chocolates. I remember thinking how weird it was that this would be at our photo spot. I had no idea what was going on! I turned around and Franklin is on his knee looking extremely nervous. It was the first time I ever heard him stutter or even show that he was nervous. It was the best moment of my life.”
Last December, I was lucky enough to meet these two in Cape May for their engagement session, these two had so much chemistry and were just so sweet together, I knew their day would be incredible!
The Greate Bay Country Club was the perfect back drop to their day, which featured a navy blue color scheme. From the gorgeous natural light of the bridal suite to the beautifully kept grounds of the venue (which photographed so well!), to their perfectly sweet ceremony and finally a dance floor that never stopped (Franklin had some amazing dance moves!), I can’t stop gushing about this wedding day!
I just loved Julia’s flowers! Her gorgeous bouquet was made by Betina’s at Parkview and was a hand-tied bouquet in a feminine classic look of white, ivory, blush and red flowers with accents of greenery. The flowers featured were roses, dahlias, peonies, anemones, and eucalyptus. The bridesmaid bouquets were also hand-tied in the same style on a smaller scale of mostly white and ivory flowers with accents of navy. The flowers featured were roses, hydrangea, stock, navy privet and eucalyptus.
These two are currently on a mini-moon with a big trip planned for later this year once Julia completes grad school. Now that they’re married, their dream is to travel as much as possible. Once they live out that dream, they want to settle down and have children.
Every part of our journey through life is sacred and passes by way too quickly. Susan elegantly captures the story of your legacy from the beginning with marriage and throughout motherhood with each special season it brings.
