A little over a week ago, I photographed Alexandra and Scott’s spring wedding at Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Alexandra and Scott had a beautiful spring day where a little rain did not damper their happiness. I was even happily surprised to find a cherry blossom tree in full bloom right at the entrance of Indian Trail Club!
Alex and Scott’s Indian Trail Club wedding was absolutely perfect and so laid back. They had a beautiful day wedding where the day started with a first look. Immediately following their first look, we were able to grab a few sweet portraits with their dog, Obie. Once all portraits were complete, it was time for their indoor ceremony under the beautiful arch constructed by Scott’s father. The ceremony was highly personal, their friend became ordained so she could officiate the ceremony and it was the most entertaining ceremony I have witnessed in awhile! Alex and Scott exchanged personal vows, but not before doing rock, scissors, paper to see who would go first (Scott won). Once married, it was time to party! But thankfully, I was able to pull these two outside for a few portraits by the lake once it had stopped raining.
Their color scheme for their lake wedding was light blue and navy. The bridesmaids wore Jenny Yoo dresses and the girls picked either a light blue dress or a floral grey dress, which was perfect for a spring wedding on the lake. The gentleman wore navy blue suits with brown shoes and Scott wore a blue gingham shirt with his. I loved the way this patterned shirt looked with his bowtie and suspenders!
After their day, these two were off on a mini-moon to Stowe, VT, one of my favorite places! I truly hope you two enjoyed yourselves!
