If you’re dreaming of a romantic Spring Wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club, Alex and Ryan’s wedding day is sure to inspire you. Filled with soft pink florals, heartfelt moments, and a celebration that felt straight out of a fairytale, every detail reflected the couple’s vision of a day that was both elegant and fun.
Getting Ready
The day began at Alex’s parents’ home, where she shared one of the most emotional moments of the day—a first look with her father. Surrounded by her bridesmaids, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as her dad saw his little girl dressed as a bride for the very first time.
Alex looked absolutely stunning in her Princess Puff Sleeve Organza Ballgown Wedding Dress. The dramatic silhouette perfectly matched the romantic style of the day. One of the sweetest details was her “something borrowed”—a beautiful pair of earrings from her aunt that had also been worn by her mother on her own wedding day. It was such a meaningful way to honor family while beginning a new chapter.
A Traditional Church Ceremony
Alex and Ryan exchanged vows during a beautiful traditional ceremony at the Church of the Incarnation in Mantua, New Jersey. Surrounded by family and friends, they officially became husband and wife in a ceremony filled with love and joy.
Portraits at Scotland Run Golf Club
After the ceremony, we headed to Scotland Run Golf Club, where the gardens were in full bloom. It’s easy to see why Alex and Ryan fell in love with this venue. The lush landscaping and vibrant gardens provided the perfect backdrop for their romantic spring wedding.
Their color palette centered around shades of pink, creating a timeless and elegant atmosphere. Alex carried a breathtaking cascading bouquet that perfectly complemented her gown and the garden surroundings, making every portrait feel effortlessly romantic.
Everywhere you looked, there were beautiful floral details that brought their fairytale vision to life.
A Celebration to Remember
The reception was every bit as joyful as the ceremony. Guests filled the dance floor all evening, celebrating the newlyweds with incredible energy.
One of the night’s most memorable moments came when the DJ played Taylor Swift’s Love Story. Nearly every guest rushed to the dance floor, singing along at the top of their lungs and creating one of those unforgettable wedding moments that perfectly reflected Alex and Ryan’s fun-loving personalities.
A Fairytale Spring Wedding
Alex and Ryan’s Spring Wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club was the perfect combination of timeless elegance and joyful celebration. From emotional family moments to stunning garden portraits and an unforgettable reception, every detail reflected the love they share and the beginning of an exciting new adventure together.
Alex & Ryan met at Manayunk Brewing Company. Ryan made the first move and introduced himself, they talked like they had known each other for years and the rest is history! For their first date was in May of 2018, they actually went back to Manayunk Brewing Company and shared a beer flight and nachos.
Engaged on 07/04/2025, the proposal: “Ryan proposed to me on 25th street beach in Ocean City, NJ on the Fourth of July. I did gave him a hard time about even wanting to go down the shore because my family always has a BBQ that weekend. Ryan had to get my parents to tell me that plans changed and the BBQ had to be rescheduled. After hearing that I immediately texted Ryan, “Does the offer still stand to go to the beach?” Once we got onto the beach, I immediately noticed rose petals on the sand, champagne, and the back of the signs. I didn’t even need to see the front of the signs that read, “Alex, will you marry me?” I just knew it was for me and immediately started crying happy tears. After he popped the question, our families surprised us. They were hiding on the beach and saw everything! THEN, when we got back to Ryan’s family’s beach house, even more family and friends were there to surprise us with an engagement party. We ended the night watching fireworks! It was perfect.”
When Alex and Ryan weren’t planning their Spring Wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club, they love to go out and try new restaurants and bars together. They also enjoy watching Philly sports teams (or in some cases, Ryan watches while Alex takes a nap beside him!).
Now married, they can’t wait to start a family and build their life together. Their advice for couples currently planning their wedding is to enjoy every moment of this time together! The planning, the excitement, the little moments, they go by quicker than you think. And finally, they were most looking forward to being able to celebrate this joyful day with the people they love most. They couldn’t wait to call each other husband and wife!
My happy couple is off to a beautiful resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for their honeymoon! Congratulations, Alex and Ryan! Thank you for allowing me to capture such an incredible day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and your own happily ever after.
