Wedding at ICONA Windrift | Avalon, NJ

On April 28th, I photographed Caitlyn and Caden’s Wedding at ICONA Windrift in Avalon, NJ. Their Jersey Shore wedding had a color palette of dark blue, sea glass green and sliver. Their day may have been a rainy one, but with a rented trolley driving us to their favorite places for photos – Fred’s Tavern, Springer’s Homemade Ice Cream and Cape May Winery, we captured so many amazing photos!

I have been a preferred vendor at the Windrift for about six years and I love seeing all the updates that ICONA has done since taking over in 2021. The renovated rooms are stunning – they are brighter than before and are the perfect shade of blue for a Jersey Shore wedding. The brand new “Spalon” fitted with makeup chairs and mirrors is amazing for bride prep and Caitlyn was lucky to be one of the first bride’s to get to use this new space for her April wedding!

Once we finished portraits at the various locations, Caitlyn and Caden had a beautiful and personal ceremony on the third floor of ICONA Windrift. I love this ceremony space because it overlooks the dunes and ocean and is a blank slate to decorate however you please! Caitlyn and Caden decorated the space with lanterns and stunning white and blue florals and greenery on the arch.

Once they said “I do”, the reception at their Wedding at ICONA Windrift was so fun to photograph! Caitlyn and Caden had a lively dance floor, but before that, they entered the reception to their bridal party holding up hockey sticks to enter under. They also had a surprise Pittsburgh cookie table that was a hit with all their guests!
